Fee Protection

We first introduced a fee protection service in 2002 and it has proved to be so popular that we updated the facilities in 2010 to include new benefits to our clients, such as the Support Helpline, extended cover on aspect enquiries and cover in the event of a compliance visit by HM Revenue & Customs. 

The support helpline is a free service and is available to all our clients.  You are able to speak to experts Free of Charge that can help guide you through today's Legal Minefields and give you tailored advice in areas such as:

Employment & Personnel - Dismissal, Gross Misconduct and other disciplinary matters

Commercial Legal Issues - Landlord & tenancy, company law, copyright & patent

Health & Safety - Reporting an accident and Hazardous substances

Did you know? - The self-assessment legislation that applies to both individuals and companies enables H.M. Revenue & Customs to enquire into the accounts, savings and lifestyle of anyone without giving any reason whatsoever. Whilst most challenges will be mounted for specific reasons, an increasing number are being made on a random basis - this means that everyone is now at risk. This may require your accountant to spend a considerable amount of time acting on your behalf which, irrespective of the outcome, is going to cost you money.  Based on feedback from our clients, we were one of the first firms of accountants to arrange for fee protection services, which will enable us, in most cases, to represent you free of charge should you be one of the unfortunate ones to be investigated.

The plan DOES NOT protect our clients for any payment of tax, interest or penalties arising from the investigation or come into play if returns have been submitted late.  What it does do, however, is give us the best chance to fight an investigation as effectively as possible on your behalf, by removing the worry about the costs of the process.
