The company was formed in 1974 by the founding partner Peter Moulton. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Peter spent some years working for the Lex Service Group as a regional Financial Controller and then Hertz Rentacar as an Assistant European Internal Audit Manager. The company was originally known as Moulton & Co. and despite modest beginnings operating from Peter's home, it was soon moving into its first offices in Woking, Surrey.
The founding partner of Moulton Johnson, Peter, after qualifying, moved out of the profession into industry for 7 years before returning to the profession to set up his own Practice. Based in our Byfleet office, he specialises in business development activities and troubleshooting. His wealth of experience in helping business, both in the good and bad times, makes him the ideal person to speak to if you have a problem.

Essex Office - Moulton Johnson Limited was formed in 2011 and was previously run as part of the Moulton Johnson partnership since its formation in 1974. The founding Partners of Moulton Johnson, Peter Moulton and Ian Johnson, are still involved in the running of the business today together with Mark Southgate who became a director in 2011.
Surrey Office - Moulton Johnson has been running as a partnership since 1974 and the founding Partners Peter Moulton and Ian Johnson are still involved in the running of the business today.
